Former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was accused of being involved in a Kansas City nightclub beating in January, a police report obtained by TMZ Sports revealed.

In the report, filed four days after the Jan. 7 incident, the man who made the accusation states that he came to the defense of a friend who was being shoved by three men, including former Chiefs running back George Atkinson. The man said Atkinson, who played for Kansas City at the time, then punched him in the shoulder.

The man stated he fought back before Atkinson and his group, which included Hunt, struck him in the head and body multiple times. He told police he suffered a broken rib, broken nose, and multiple bruises and contusions as a result of the incident.

Neither Hunt nor Atkinson were arrested and no charges were filed. Police told TMZ Sports that the man ultimately stopped cooperating with the investigation after filing the report.

Hunt was released by the Chiefs after a video was published of him kicking and shoving a woman in February. He's also being investigated by the NFL for a separate incident in which he punched a man at an Ohio resort.

"I just want to let the world know how sorry I am for my actions. It's been a tough time for me and I'm extremely embarrassed because of that video," Hunt told ESPN's Lisa Salters in an interview Sunday. "I'm definitely not that kind of person."
