Packers' financials reveal record fiscal year, $255M in revenue for each NFL team

Derick E. Hingle / USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers revealed record revenues for the fiscal year ending March 31, the club announced Monday.

Since the Packers are the only publicly owned team in major North American professional sports, they're the sole franchise required to publicly post their revenue and expenses for the fiscal year. Green Bay earned $459.9 million in revenue - a $13.5 million improvement, while spending $420.9 million, a $44.8 million increase.

The report often reveals the overall state of the NFL's financial health and viability.

The spike in revenues has largely been attributed to the league's national television deals and Thursday Night Football gaining popularity.
