President Donald Trump reacted positively to the NFL's decision to enact a national anthem policy that prohibits players from protesting during the "Star-Spangled Banner," and said, "maybe you shouldn't be in the country" to those who still decide to demonstrate.

Trump also said he didn't feel players or team personnel should stay in the locker room - an option the league is giving those who don't want to stand during the anthem.

Trump called for protesting players to be "fired" at a rally last year, leading to a league-wide protest during the anthem in Week 3.

The anthem policy appears to be an attempt to stop further attacks from the president, as one league source told the Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman that the NFL is "terrified" of Trump.
