Despite making the Pro Bowl, first-team All-Pro, and tying for the league lead in interceptions as a sophomore in 2017, some people still don't know who Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard is.

At least one of those people are in the Hall of Fame and are named Deion Sanders.

The 50-year-old retired cornerback ran down his list of the best safeties in the league on NFL Network on Tuesday, ranking new Houston Texans defender Tyrann Mathieu at the top.

Byard caught the segment on television and was not impressed.

Sanders responded seemingly without knowledge of who Byard is, addressing him as a common fan in a rather rude fashion.

Byard wasn't having any of it and threw Sanders' line right back in his face.

Several other All-Pro and Pro Bowl defensive backs - including Casey Hayward, Eric Weddle, and Jalen Ramsey - jumped in to defend Byard as well.
