New Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett's message to NFC East quarterbacks was clear at his introductory press conference on Monday.

"I know Eli Manning is probably watching this ... yes, I'm coming. I know Dak (Prescott) is watching this like, 'Yeah, he's coming.' Yeah, I am," Bennett told reporters, according to ESPN's Tim McManus. "And Alex Smith, he knows he can't run from me. I told him in the Pro Bowl."

Philadelphia acquired Bennett this offseason in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, where he'd played since 2013.

The 32-year-old now joins an elite group of defenders in Philadelphia that includes Brandon Graham, Chris Long, Fletcher Cox, and Derek Barnett - all of whom were integral during the Eagles' run to victory at Super Bowl LII. The veteran is coming off another impressive season with the Seahawks, in which he tormented NFC West quarterbacks by recording 8.5 sacks, 40 combined tackles, and one pass deflection in 16 games.

"Honestly, I don't think there's a tight end in the NFL that can block me," Bennett added. "So it's definitely going to be a great season, it's going to be fun to be out here and be able to chase quarterbacks (not just on) third down, it's going to be on second down and first down. It's just going to be fun."
