Report: Ryan Grant to visit Colts after failed Ravens physical

The Indianapolis Colts will host receiver Ryan Grant on a free-agent visit, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Grant recently agreed to a four-year, $29-million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, but the contract was voided after he failed a team physical Thursday.

Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome explained the curious case Friday.

Newsome acknowledged Grant suffered an ankle injury late in the 2017 season but passed the Washington Redskins' post-season physical.

The receiver's agent, Rocky Arceneaux, told Schefter the ankle isn't an issue and his client has been cleared after seeking a second medical opinion.

"If there were a game tomorrow, Ryan would be able to play," Arceneaux said.

With Grant headed elsewhere, the Ravens have turned their attention to Michael Crabtree, who was released by the Oakland Raiders on Thursday, and other receivers.

Grant, a four-year pro, recorded career highs of 45 catches, 573 yards, and four touchdowns in 2017.
