Report: Eagles' Jeffery out at least 6 months after rotator cuff surgery
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss at least six months after undergoing surgery to repair a full tear in his rotator cuff Wednesday, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.
The source described it as "very likely" that Jeffery misses the 2018 preseason, though there's optimism he'll be ready for Week 1 of the regular season.
According to an earlier report on the surgery from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Jeffery suffered the injury in training camp, played through the pain, and did not miss a single game during the 2017 season, including Philadelphia's improbable Super Bowl run.
It appears Jeffery will miss all of OTAs, minicamp, and most, if not all, of training camp. On a positive note, the Eagles are bringing back the exact same offensive system, so their top receiver won't have any substantial adjustments to make on the field.
Jeffery hauled in 57 catches, 789 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns during the regular season, and a trio of scores in the postseason.
