Bills' Benjamin carted to locker room with knee injury

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills will be without newly-acquired receiver Kelvin Benjamin for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, as the former Carolina Panther was carted to the locker room with a knee injury in the first quarter.

Benjamin injured his right knee while being tackled on the Bills' first drive, appearing to hyper-extend it as he hit the turf.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pounder is no stranger to knee injuries as he tore the ACL in his left knee in 2015.

The former Florida State star was appearing in just his second game with the Bills since coming over via trade. The Bills are already without Jordan Matthews for the game against the Chargers, leaving them woefully thin at the receiver position.
