Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo has been suspended one game for a violation of safety-related playing rules, NFL vice president of football communications Michael Signora confirmed.

Sendejo connected with a hit to Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace's head, rendering him concussed. Although Wallace was placed in the concussion protocol, he returned to the sidelines.

Sendejo has recorded 42 tackles, an interception, and two pass deflections in six games this season.

Sendejo can appeal the suspension, otherwise he'll miss an Oct. 29 game against the Cleveland Browns.
