Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has been upgraded to day to day as he recovers from an ankle injury, head coach Vance Joseph told reporters Monday, including Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post.

Sanders suffered the injury during an Oct. 15 loss to the New York Giants when he was hit by safety Landon Collins.

The 30-year-old's return would be a welcome development for the Broncos' offense, which has sputtered in consecutive losses. Denver was blanked 21-0 by the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Sanders caught 25 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season.
