Report: Unhappy Bryant 'called in sick' for required Steelers meetings

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant "called in sick" Monday, missing required team meetings, a teammate told Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The development comes as Bryant reportedly "wants out" of Pittsburgh and even took to social media to criticize a teammate after Sunday's game.

Bryant caught just one pass in a 29-14 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Whether his low usage is due to an illness or the Steelers' game script remains to be seen. His agent said Bryant went to see the doctor Monday morning, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Through seven games, Bryant has just 18 receptions for 234 yards and a touchdown. However, he's tied for third on the team in catches and is second in receiving yards, though he's sharing snaps and starts with youngsters JuJu Smith-Schuster and Eli Rogers.

Reports the wideout wants out of town first surfaced last week, after he caught two passes in a win against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bryant was suspended for the entire 2016 season for multiple violations of the league's substance abuse policy.
