Vikings rule Diggs out vs. Ravens with groin injury

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a groin injury, the team confirmed Friday.

After missing previous practice sessions, Diggs returned to practice Friday but head coach Mike Zimmer was evidently unconvinced by his star receiver's progress.

The 23-year-old was off to an excellent start to the season, catching 23 passes for 395 yards and four touchdowns in five games.

"It's kind of up in the air right now," Diggs said Thursday to Brian Murphy of the Pioneer Press. "Each day I’m going to do more and more. I feel good. (My) body feels fine. It’s not up to me. It’s bigger than me."

Laquon Treadwell could see increased targets in Diggs' absence.
