While Odell Beckham Jr. said he was "alright" after taking a big hit and spraining his ankle in Monday's preseason game, he will still undergo an MRI on Tuesday afternoon, NFL Network's Kimberly Jones reports.

The New York Giants wide receiver didn't return to the game, and was seen kneeling in pain on his way to the locker room. However, he returned to the sidelines for the second half against the Cleveland Browns, walking under his own power.

The 24-year-old indicated he was OK in a tweet Monday:

It was a scary sight for the Giants, as Beckham is the crux of the team's offense and one of the NFL's most indispensable players.

However, unless the MRI reveals something unexpected, New York and Beckham appear to have avoided a nightmare situation ahead of a promising 2017 season.
