The Juan Soto sweepstakes are progressing.

Teams pursuing the superstar outfielder in free agency are expected to start presenting contract offers this week, sources told Buster Olney of ESPN.

Clubs that already met with Soto reportedly used the time to get to know the 2024 AL MVP finalist, who in turn got to connect with different executives.

Soto's next pact is expected to end up in the range of $550 million to $650 million, sources from the teams involved in the negotiations told Jim Bowden of The Athletic.

The New York Yankees, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia Phillies have reportedly met with the 26-year-old this offseason.

Executives believe the Mets are the clear-cut favorite to sign Soto, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale.

Soto recorded a career-high 41 homers with 109 RBIs and a .989 OPS over 157 games last season. He also slashed .327/.469/.633 with four long balls and nine RBIs in the playoffs, helping the Yankees reach the World Series for the first time in 15 years.
