PHOTO: Jamie Benn's family reacts after goal in Olympic semifinal

Canadian forward Jamie Benn scored the lone goal in Friday's semifinal victory over Team USA, and CTV News was there to capture the reaction of his family watching in British Columbia.

Brother Jordie - also a member of the NHL's Stars - couldn't make it to the viewing party, but took some time away from his Nintendo 64 to take in the game from Dallas.

After the game, Benn was quick to deflect attention off himself, crediting his teammates for a full effort. "Obviously we knew it was going to be a tight match going in," Benn said, via Greg Beachem of the Associated Press. "We found a way to get one, our team played great team defense, and our goalie shut the door."

The goal was Benn's second of the tournament, and he has taken on an increased role for Canada as the tournament has gone on. Currently playing on a line with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf,  Benn saw just over 15 minutes of ice time on Friday and registered four shots on goal, and has also found himself killing penalties alongside Selke Trophy winner Patrice Bergeron.

It's been a tremendous showing for someone who wasn't invited to orientation camp back in the summer, and his family back home is no doubt looking for something more to cheer about during the gold medal game on Sunday.
