Lamar Odom had to play peacemaker after his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant shared a tense exchange with Percy "Master P" Miller at practice years ago.

During an interview with Vlad TV, Odom explained that celebrities would often visit the Lakers' facility. Miller apparently picked a bad time to stop by practice, though, leading to what Odom described as an "awkward" situation between Bryant and the hip-hop mogul.

"For whatever reason, P came to our practice and the aura or the energy or the timing of it - Bean kind of really just wasn't feeling it," Odom said. "So you got to understand, these are two alpha males, right? … It was just awkward. You feel me? So, I'm from the street, right? So, I can peep it, you know what I'm saying? So, I'm gonna just dead it. But, it was awkward."

Miller spoke about the incident on "The Red Pill With Van Lathan" podcast in 2018, noting that he and Bryant "had a couple words." Neither he nor Odom revealed what specifically led to the exchange.

Odom and Bryant played together on the Lakers from 2004-11 and won two championships together.
