Docuseries to chronicle end of Pau Gasol's professional career

Two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol will be the focus of a new documentary series.

The currently untitled project will chronicle Gasol as he nears the end of his professional basketball career, according to Leo Barraclough of Variety. The series will consist of four episodes, and it's expected to be released in the fall.

"There comes a time when a player's professional career must come to an end," Gasol said. "It won't be a happy time for me, but you have to be prepared for it as there will be a huge gap that I will have to fill. Hopefully this series helps shine a light on my state of mind as I contemplate what's next."

The 40-year-old last played in an NBA game in March 2019 with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Spaniard announced in February that he would be returning to his native country to play for FC Barcelona of the EuroLeague.
