Atlanta Dream guard Renee Montgomery and free-agent running back Marshawn Lynch are now business partners.

Montgomery announced Monday in an interview with TMZ Sports that she has become a co-owner of Lynch's Fan Controlled Football league team, the Beasts.

"It is football, but there's such a fun aspect to it," Montgomery said of the FCF. "Even the way that they have the stadium set up - it's here in Atlanta, by the way. And shoutout to the Fan Controlled Football league ... I'm the first woman on there and they were very into that, they wanted a woman football owner."

The FCF is made up of four teams whose owners include San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, and rapper Quavo.

Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel became the first big name to join the league late in December, signing with the Zappers. Montgomery admitted she wasn't happy to see Manziel sign with a rival team.

"I was really excited to maybe draft him, but I guess not," she said.

The FCF's inaugural season is scheduled to begin in February.
