It doesn't sound like ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary series about the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls will be releasing soon after all.

Advertisements for the series were recently changed to read "coming soon" instead of "coming in June," sparking rumors that it would be getting an early release. However, Burke Magnus, executive vice president of programming acquisitions and scheduling for ESPN, said production on the series is ongoing.

"Overall, any original content project that we can conceivably move up, we are obviously considering that, including films," Magnus told Josh Krulewitz of ESPN Front Row. "I know some have asked about 'The Last Dance' and the reality is that the production of that film has not yet been completed, so we are limited there at the moment. Obviously, you can't air it until it's done."

"The Last Dance" is currently scheduled to premiere June 2.
