A rare Air Jordan 1 sneaker created in celebration of Michael Jordan's 32nd birthday in 1995 was auctioned off for $20,400 over the weekend, according to Darren Rovell of Action Network.

Heritage Auctions estimates the value of the silver used to create the sneaker at more than $2,000.

Jordan kept two of the sneakers for himself, while other versions have been displayed at his restaurant, at the Chicago Science Museum, and in the clubhouse of his hometown golf course. The cast used to make the shoes was destroyed after production.
