United States Customs and Border Patrol seized nearly $12 million worth of counterfeit professional and collegiate championship team rings in a shipment from China to the U.S. in March, officials announced Tuesday.

The 177 fake rings - estimated to have a total retail price of $11.7 million - infringed on the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NCAA trademarks. The lot included New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl rings along with World Series rings for the Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees, according to TMZ Sports.

"This most recent interception of counterfeit sports rings demonstrates the ongoing vigilance and commitment to the mission by our CBP Officers and Import Specialists," said Troy Miller, director of CBP's New York field office.
