LSU is set to ban former running back Derrius Guice from the athletics program indefinitely and will also erase his statistics from its record books, a school spokesperson told ESPN's Heather Dinich.

Guice's ban is the result of a response to an independent investigation released in March revealing how the school regularly mishandled allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. The former Tigers back was charged for domestic violence incidents three separate times in 2020 and had two women accuse him of sexual assault during his freshman year in 2016.

LSU is also terminating its relationship with longtime law firm Taylor Porter.

Taylor Porter, who has been the university's law firm for the last 80 years, conducted a 2013 investigation that revealed former head coach Les Miles had been accused of texting female students and kissing one of them.

Only three of the Tigers' 16 board members were informed and involved in the Taylor Porter investigation after agreeing that further review by the entire board was not necessary.

Taylor Porter's counsel David Shelby stated the firm made no recommendations about those involved in the process and denied claims of participating in a cover-up.
