More than 10 people working on the University of Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium renovation project have tested positive for COVID-19, according to AL.com's Joseph Goodman.

The number of infected people could be much higher, Goodman reports.

Caddell Construction, the project's chief contractor, said that stadium construction work was restricted over the weekend in order to complete a deep cleaning. Operations resumed Monday.

The stadium in Tuscaloosa is undergoing a $107-million renovation. The project began in November and involves installing new premium seating and larger video boards, among other changes.

The Crimson Tide's first home game of the season is scheduled for Sept. 12 against Georgia State.
