Arkansas officials met Sunday with Florida Atlantic's Lane Kiffin to discuss the Razorbacks' vacant head coaching position, a source told Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports.

Kiffin is winding down his third season at Florida Atlantic, where he's amassed a 25-13 record. He and the Owls are preparing to face UAB in the Conference USA title game.

Kiffin has been linked to several high-profile jobs over the last two years, in part because of his well-known name.

The enigmatic sideline boss became a household figure in 2007 when the Oakland Raiders made him the youngest head coach in NFL history at the time. The marriage lasted 20 games before late Raiders owner Al Davis ended it, firing Kiffin and bashing him on his way out.

Since then, the 44-year-old Kiffin has gone on to serve as head coach at Tennessee, USC, and as offensive coordinator at Alabama.
