Franks leaving Florida, will enter transfer portal or draft

Feleipe Franks will not return to Florida for his senior season, the quarterback announced Sunday.

In an Instagram post, Franks said he'll either transfer or enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

The 21-year-old began the season as the starting pivot but went down with a season-ending ankle injury Sept. 14 against Kentucky. Kyle Trask assumed his spot in the lineup and the Gators' offense hardly suffered.

Franks completed 76.1% of his passes in 2019 before the injury while throwing for 698 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. He threw 38 touchdowns against 17 interceptions over the course of his Florida career.
