A brawl that ignited moments after the Rebels' game-winning overtime touchdown marred the Battle for the Fremont Cannon between UNLV and Nevada on Saturday.

Nevada defensive back Austin Arnold pushing UNLV quarterback Kenyon Oblad to the ground from behind while the Rebels stormed the field to celebrate their 33-30 win appeared to spark the melee:

"I don't even really know what happened to be honest with you," Nevada head coach Jay Norvell said of the postgame fireworks, according to Chris Murray of NSN. "I can't speak about it. It's an emotional game, a lot of these kids know each other.

"Either way, winning a game or losing a game, there's never an excuse to act the wrong way. I'm not quite sure what happened. We'll get to the bottom of it."

A half-dozen police officers were needed to get the players off the field after a few minutes of drama, which included Nevada fans briefly taking one UNLV player's helmet in the south end zone.
