Star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was very limited during the media-available portion of Alabama's practice Tuesday, Michael Casagrande of AL.com reports.

Tagovailoa was sporting full pads and his helmet during the session but wasn't wearing practice cleats. He remained sidelined during warmups and drills, according to Casagrande, though his injured ankle was not wrapped.

Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban said Tagovailoa dealt with ankle soreness following the team's loss to LSU.

Tagovailoa underwent the tightrope procedure to repair a high ankle sprain suffered during Alabama's game against Tennessee on Oct. 19. He missed one contest before returning for last week's matchup.

Alabama takes on Mississippi State on Saturday. Saban will address the media Wednesday, notes Casagrande.
