Oregon and defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt have parted ways, according to Matt Prehm of 247Sports.

Leavitt served as the team's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the past two seasons.

Ducks defensive backs coach Keith Hayward is considered to be a potential replacement for Leavitt.

Leavitt worked as Colorado's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach from 2015 to 2016, and previously served as the linebackers coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 until 2014.

The 62-year-old is likely best known for his tenure as head coach of South Florida (1997 to 2009), during which he posted a cumulative 95-57 record.
