Four-star offensive tackle Doug Nester, ranked 72nd on ESPN's 300 for the class of 2019, announced his decision to flip from Ohio State to Virginia Tech.

The Huntington, W.Va. native committed to Ohio State in 2017 and is the third Buckeyes prospect to switch to another school. He reconsidered his commitment after Urban Meyer stepped down as head coach, according to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren.

In the 2019 class, the Buckeyes have eight ESPN 300 commitments, 11 fewer than they did in 2018.

Nester is Virginia Tech's highest-ranked commitment.
