Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was named college football's best all-around player of the year Thursday night.

Tagovailoa took home the Maxwell Award, beating out fellow quarterbacks Kyler Murray of Oklahoma and Will Grier of West Virginia.

The sophomore also won the Walter Camp Award for player of the year earlier in the night.

Tagovailoa will now hope to add the Heisman Trophy to his collection. He, Murray, and Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins are up for the award Saturday.
