Photo shows Harvard RB didn't flip off Yale defender

Harvard running back Devin Darrington had a fourth-quarter touchdown called back Saturday for seemingly flipping off a Yale defender en route to the end zone. However, new evidence proves the sophomore tailback was innocent.

A photo shot by Tim O'Meara of the Harvard Crimson shows Darrington was actually extending his index finger, not his middle finger.

"It was cool to realize for the first time that something I'd seen all over the sports media was not as it seemed," O'Meara told Jason Gay of the Wall Street Journal after the game, according to Deadspin's Gabe Fernandez.

Harvard defeated Yale 45-27.
