The offensive coordinator job at Alabama continues to be a revolving door, as Brian Daboll is leaving the program for the same job with the Buffalo Bills.

Daboll lasted just one season with the Crimson Tide, but was highly successful in his limited stint, delivering a national championship. With his departure, Nick Saban will now be looking for his fourth different offensive coordinator in 14 months.

Name Games coached Current job
Lane Kiffin 43 FAU head coach
Steve Sarkisian 1 Atlanta Falcons OC
Brian Daboll 14 Buffalo Bills OC

While there will be rampant speculation about who Saban will hire for the role, the Crimson Tide's performance under the legendary coach's leadership suggests it may not matter. Despite going through countless coordinator changes over the last 10 years, Alabama has only ranked outside the top-30 in scoring once during that span.

Co-offensive coordinator Mike Locksley seems like a natural replacement for Daboll but would be a change in philosophy by Saban in recent memory. Jim McElwain, Doug Nussmeier, Lane Kiffin and Daboll were all outside hires for the position, with Sarkisian's one-game stint being the only promotion from within.
