A Houston sharpshooter and Auburn's contender for player of the year nabbed Most Outstanding Player honors in the Midwest and South Regions on Sunday.

The Cougars' Emanuel Sharp claimed the award for the Midwest, with his blend of 3-point shooting and lockdown defense pushing the team to the Final Four. It's no surprise Johni Broome won in the South Region, as the senior forward may have a haul of awards by the end of the season.

Sharp averaged 16.5 points in his last two games - wins over Purdue and Tennessee - while rising to the occasion on the defensive end. He made six triples over that stretch, including two clutch shots in Sunday's second half to stop any momentum for the Volunteers.

Broome posted three double-doubles in four NCAA Tournament games, capped by a brilliant 25-point, 14-rebound showing in a win over Michigan State. He's averaging 17.2 points and 13.2 rebounds heading into the Final Four.

The pair joins Florida's Walter Clayton Jr. and Duke's Cooper Flagg as the Most Outstanding Players from the four regions this year.
