Four-star guard Jizzle James, the son of Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James, committed to Cincinnati on Tuesday.

James is the No. 59 prospect on the 2023 ESPN 100. He chose coach Wes Miller and the Bearcats over LSU and Georgia.

"It was great," James said last weekend about his visit to Cincinnati, per 247 Sports' Travis Branham. "It was a great environment, the fans were great, I loved the atmosphere, so it was a great visit. Just being around the players and experiencing the culture, it felt like a family vibe. ... I learned how they were hard-nosed and got after it, which is my type of style."

The 6-foot-1 point guard averaged 11.2 points, 4.9 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and one steal in 21 games this past summer with the Florida Rebels Nike EYBL program.

Cincinnati added four-star forward Rayvon Griffith in May. The Bearcats haven't qualified for the NCAA Tournament since 2019, when current UCLA coach Mick Cronin was at the helm.
