New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing is "getting better" after recently testing positive for COVID-19, his son announced on social media Monday.

The Georgetown head coach was hospitalized but has since been allowed to return home.

Ewing played 15 seasons for the Knicks, averaging 22.8 points, 10.4 boards, and 2.7 blocks per contest. In 2003, the 11-time All-Star became the ninth player in franchise history to see their number retired.

The 57-year-old has been the bench boss at his alma mater since 2017.
