Washington's Quade Green ruled academically ineligible

Washington point guard Quade Green has been ruled academically ineligible for the rest of the winter term, head coach Mike Hopkins announced via the Seattle Times' Percy Allen. The academic period ends March 13, meaning there is a chance Green could return for the postseason.

Green is in his first basketball season with the Huskies after transferring from Kentucky last January. As he was ineligible to play last spring, he is still considered a sophomore.

The 21-year-old Philadelphia native is averaging 11.6 points and a team-leading 5.3 assists in 15 games.
