Texas Tech guard Jarrett Culver officially declared for the 2019 NBA Draft at a press conference Thursday.

Culver is believed to be a potential top-five selection in June after leading the Red Raiders to the first NCAA Tournament final in school history.

The sophomore star was named Big 12 Player of the Year and a consensus second-team All-American after averaging a team-leading 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 38 games.

Culver wasn't highly sought-after as a three-star recruit in high school, but he developed into one of the nation's top players in his second season with Texas Tech.

However, his final appearance was a disappointment, as Culver scored just 15 points on 5-of-22 shooting in the national title game loss to Virginia.
