Kevin Porter Jr. is leaving USC for the professional ranks.

The freshman guard is signing with agency Roc Nation Sports and will declare for the 2019 NBA Draft, he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

"Since I was little, rankings never mattered to me, I just played," Porter said. "I don't really know who is in the draft, but as far as ranking myself among people I feel like I am confident in my skill to compete with anybody and everybody."

In 21 appearances with the Trojans, Porter averaged 9.5 points, four rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. However, a thigh injury kept the 6-foot-6 guard shelved from early December to mid-January. Porter went on to post just six double-digit scoring performances over his final 15 games.

USC finished the year 16-17 overall with an 8-10 record in Pac-12 play.
