Despite multiple blowouts, the opening weekend of March Madness scored the second-highest TV ratings in 29 years, the NCAA announced Monday.

Game coverage on CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV averaged the second-highest ratings through the first weekend since 1991, with viewership up eight percent over last year. The NCAA added that its March Madness Live platform set all-time records for live streams and live hours of consumption.

While several games were duds in both the rounds of 64 and 32, viewership peaked Sunday during Duke's razor-thin victory over UCF.
