No perfect brackets remain thanks to UMBC's remarkable win

And then there were none.

There will be no perfect bracket from this year's edition of March Madness after UMBC's historic upset Friday night. There were 25 perfect brackets left across the five major bracket games (Capital One March Madness Bracket Challenge, ESPN, Bleacher Report, Yahoo, and CBS) entering Friday's late-night slate, but Virginia's loss put an end to all of them.

Prior to the Cavaliers' loss, No. 1 seeds were 135-0 all time in the NCAA tournament against No. 16 seeds, so it's not much of a surprise that such a stunning defeat would clear out the last remaining unblemished brackets.

The likelihood of nailing a perfect bracket is already next to nothing - with the odds sitting at 1 in 9.2 quintillion - and that's before accounting for an unprecedented upset.

Maybe next year.
