The NCAA looked kindly upon Stanford forward Reid Travis on Wednesday, as the junior was granted a medical hardship year dating back to his injury-riddled 2015-16 season, according to Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports, citing a source.

Last year's leading scorer for the Cardinal appeared in eight games as a true sophomore before suffering a stress fracture to his left leg, causing him to miss the remainder of the season.

The news will no doubt bring joy to Stanford fans, as Travis posted impressive numbers last season, averaging 17.4 points and 8.9 rebounds on 58 percent shooting.
