Curry to be re-evaluated in 1 week after quad contusion
Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry will be re-evaluated in one week after an MRI confirmed he suffered a right quad contusion and muscle strain, the team announced Thursday.
The injury is not believed to be serious and Curry's timeline depends on his response to treatment, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The two-time MVP was hurt in Wednesday's NBA Cup loss to the Houston Rockets. He collided with Amen Thompson in the fourth quarter and left the game with 35.2 seconds remaining.
Curry's averaged 27.9 points and 4.0 assists in 16 appearances. He's logged over 31.1 minutes per game and leads the NBA in 3-pointers made.
The Warriors have three games over the next week, beginning Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Golden State is 10-10 on the season.
