Kevin Durant and Draymond Green say their altercation during the 2018-19 season was made out to be a bigger deal than it really was.

The former Golden State Warriors teammates both gave their accounts of the incident and its aftermath on the latest episode of "The ETCs with Kevin Durant" podcast.

"In my mind, this is how I played it out. We got the stop, I'm grabbing a rebound, I'm running up, as soon as I cross half court, I'm shooting it. That was the disconnect. That was it between us," Durant said. "I wanted the moment, Draymond seen it in a different way, and then that was the clash."

The disconnect resulted in some harsh words being exchanged between the two.

"So, we get back to the huddle - no, I walked in off the court, I turned that motherf----- over and K yelling, 'Give me the motherf------- ball,'" Green recalled. "And I'm just looking at him and literally my response was, 'I was f------ passing you the ball if you would've f------ ran.'"

Green said he didn't see the incident as a big deal because Durant was "the only person that would really cuss me out." He also felt that the media coverage and the one-game suspension he received made the situation worse.

"I was so irritated 'cause I knew the vultures was about to eat this shit up," Durant said. "I knew they was gonna use this to try to divide and separate me from the group."

According to Durant, the two were able to hash things out after sitting down together in Dallas the following week.
