NBA Thursday player props: Fade CJ McCollum vs. Jazz

Both our Jazz fades cashed and Terry Rozier went over his 3-point total, but we ultimately split on Wednesday's player prop card.

Here's what we're rolling with for Thursday's seven-game slate.

CJ McCollum under 4.5 assists

No other offense creates fewer makes off assists than the Trail Blazers' unit, which records a paltry .503 per game. Guess which team allows the fewest? Thursday's opponent, the Jazz, at just 0.543. Their defense ranks top three in the NBA in assists per contest to three separate positions. That includes shooting guards, who average just 3.23.

McCollum has recorded a grand total of 11 assists over his last five meetings against Utah, and he hasn't collected more than three in any start during that stretch. His under is a solid look.

Kyle Kuzma over 2.5 made threes

Kuzma shot roughly 31% from the perimeter over the previous two seasons after hitting a career-high 36.6% of his attempts as a rookie. He's back up to 35.1% this season, but Kuzma is currently riding a 7-of-31 cold streak from downtown over his last four games.

Kuzma has never been shy, especially without LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the court. The fourth-year forward has attempted seven-plus triples in seven of his last nine outings, and he should get going against a Heat unit giving up 2.64 makes per game to his position, the third-most in the league.

Mason Plumlee over 10.5 rebounds

Plumlee has been feast or famine lately. He's recorded 10-plus rebounds twice over his last four starts, and three or fewer in the other pair.

Thursday's tilt against the Kings should lead to a big number, as they surrender 16.84 rebounds to centers, the league's highest clip.

Pascal Siakam under 7.5 rebounds

The Bulls are one of the NBA's best rebounding teams. Their 8.8 offensive rebounds and 49.1 total rebounds allowed per game rank No. 1 and No. 4, respectively. Chicago is also among the top seven in giving up boards to three separate positions, including power forwards, who average the fewest per contest (9.24) in the league against the Bulls.

Siakam hasn't recorded more than seven rebounds in five straight games, even while playing three defenses that rank among the top 10 in rebounds allowed to power forwards.

Chris Paul under 8.5 assists

Paul has hit a new gear during his first season with the Suns. His 49.3% shooting from the field is the veteran's best mark since 2009, while his 8.2 assists per game is his highest average over the last four years. He's been a remarkable ball-distributor lately, averaging 11.5 assists over his last four games.

However, if there's ever a time to sell, it's Thursday.

The Clippers give up the NBA's fourth-fewest assists per game and fifth-fewest assists per made field goal. They've been solid at limiting point guards, too, ranking third with 7.50 assists allowed.

CP3 is a solid fade after playing 43 minutes in Utah, and while gearing up for the second of back-to-back games.
