The NBA is rescinding the technical foul that earned Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green an ejection from Thursday's game, the league told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater.

Green received his second technical of the night and was turfed just before halftime after shouting on the court during his team's loss to the New York Knicks. Referee John Butler mistakenly believed Green was directing his words at him rather than Warriors rookie James Wiseman.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said afterward that the officiating crew chief admitted the call was an error.

"Ben Taylor came out and told me that it was a mistake," Kerr said. "That John Butler didn't realize (Green) was yelling at his teammate, he thought he was yelling at him."
