Michael Jordan is putting his earnings from "The Last Dance" toward a good cause.

Feeding America announced Wednesday that Jordan is donating $2 million of his earnings from the documentary series to help fight hunger in the Carolinas and Chicago.

"In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it's more important than ever to pause and give thanks," Jordan said in a statement. "I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from 'The Last Dance' to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas in Chicago to help feed America's hungry."

Jordan announced in April he would donate some of his "Last Dance" earnings to Friends of the Children, a nonprofit organization that pairs youth with a professional mentor. The Hall of Famer and Jordan Brand have also pledged to donate $100 million over the next 10 years to social justice causes.
