Free-agent forward Davis Bertans and the Washington Wizards have agreed to a five-year, $80-million contract to keep the sharpshooter in D.C., Bertans' agent Arturs Kalnitis told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal reportedly includes an early termination option after the fourth year.
It's a substantial annual raise for Bertans, who made approximately $7 million last season. The Latvian native came into his own in his first year with the Wizards, ranking sixth in the NBA with a 42.4% 3-point percentage, while averaging 15.4 points.
The 28-year-old voluntarily sat out the NBA's bubble restart in Florida and missed the Wizards' final eight games, during which they went 1-7.
