Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons is considered day-to-day after undergoing an MRI on his knee Wednesday which came back clean, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Simmons left Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards with an injury in the third quarter and didn't return. The 24-year-old looked to be in discomfort after securing an offensive rebound with 5:52 remaining in the frame.

Simmons immediately limped off the court during the next break in play and needed an escort to the locker room. He did not experience any swelling or pain in his knee after leaving the contest, sources ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Simmons is averaging 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in two games since the NBA resumed play in Orlando. He's averaging 16.6 points, 8.1 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and a league-best 2.1 steals on the season.
