Los Angeles Clippers center Montrezl Harrell will not play in Thursday's season restart opener against the Lakers and it's not certain when he will return to the NBA's campus in Orlando, sources told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.

Harrell reportedly left the Disney World resort on July 17 due to an "emergency family matter." He did not play in the Clippers' three scrimmages over the past week.

The 26-year-old has tested negative for COVID-19 daily since leaving the Orlando campus and would only require a two-day quarantine period upon his return, Haynes reports.

Harrell has averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in a reserve role this season.
