Chinese broadcasting company CCTV is making it clear it has no intention of resuming NBA broadcasts in the country anytime soon.

CCTV released a statement Tuesday, "reiterating its consistent stance on national sovereignty," according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

The company stopped airing NBA games across China in October in response to Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey's tweet supporting anti-government protesters.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver acknowledged in February that strained relations with China are expected to cost the league hundreds of millions of dollars. The NBA also prepared for a reduced salary cap next season due to the loss of that income.
